At Autism Coalition of Nevada (ACON)...
we are more than just an organization—we are a powerful, united voice for the autism community in Nevada. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are dedicated to advocating for the rights, services, and dignity of children, adults, and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related neurodevelopmental disorders.
Our Legacy of Advocacy
Since our founding, ACON has been a relentless force for change. In fact, our founder was appointed by the Governor as the very first Autism Commissioner of Nevada. This moment marked the beginning of a transformative journey. ACON was instrumental in the founding of the Nevada Autism Commission, and to this day, we have played a key role in passing every single piece of autism-related legislation in the state—over 15 crucial bills that directly impact the lives of individuals with autism and their families.
Our advocacy doesn’t stop at legislation. We stand beside families, guiding them through the challenges of diagnosis, treatment, and care. We provide a strong, unwavering hand of support, ensuring that no family walks this journey alone.

Our mission is clear
ACON is dedicated to helping children, youth, and their families affected by autism by providing:
Strong Advocacy: We advocate at the Nevada State Legislature to ensure that those with autism have access to the resources, rights, and protections they deserve.
Financial Assistance: We offer financial support to help facilitate early diagnosis, therapeutic interventions, and critical medical care.
Community Education: Through workshops, training, and public awareness campaigns, we work to educate the community and promote understanding of autism.
Support Services: We connect families to the services they need—from early diagnosis to ongoing treatment—ensuring that no one falls through the cracks.
